Description

A frozen layered cocktail combining strawberry daiquiri and piña colada—tangy, sweet, and tropical.


Ingredients

Scale

Strawberry Layer:

1 cup frozen strawberries

1 oz lime juice

1 oz simple syrup

2 oz light rum

1 cup ice

Piña Colada Layer:

2 oz coconut cream

2 oz pineapple juice

2 oz dark or light rum

1 cup ice


Instructions

1. Blend the strawberry layer ingredients until smooth and slushy.

2. Pour the strawberry mixture into the bottom of a chilled glass.

3. Rinse the blender. Blend the piña colada ingredients until smooth.

4. Slowly pour the piña colada layer over the back of a spoon to create the second layer.

5. Garnish with a pineapple wedge, strawberry, or paper umbrella and serve immediately.


Notes

For a virgin Miami Vice drink, replace the rum with coconut water or fruit juice.

You can freeze the layers in advance and re-blend before serving.

For best visual effect, use a tall clear glass and pour slowly to preserve layers.
